Frances Dale Allen Ball, 73, passed away peacefully on May 31, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

Born on June 6, 1952, she was the blessing of the late Mary Frances Ward and Buck Allen. Frances was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. She dedicated her life to caring for those she loved and found her greatest joy in spending time with her family. Her kindness, strength, and unwavering love will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Frances shared 56 years of marriage with her beloved husband, Frank William Ball. Together they built a loving family and a lifetime of cherished memories.

She was preceded in death by her son, Frank William Ball who passed away in September 2025, and by her sister, Linda Sue Allen.

Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband, Frank William Ball; her son, Timothy Wayne Ball and wife, Geri ; her brother, Claude Eugene Allen and wife, Bessie Ann; and her sister, Ruby Sharon Nance.

Frances was a proud grandmother to Tyler Ball and wife, Abbigail; Cade Ball and wife, Katherine; Zackary Hayden Ball , Cooper Ball ,Beckham Ball and their mother Whitney. She was also blessed with two treasured great-granddaughters, Lorelei Poppy Ball and Penelope Jane Ball.

Frances’s family was the center of her world. She took immense pride in watching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren grow and treasured every moment spent with them. Her home was always a place of love, comfort, and welcome.

Those who knew Frances will remember her gentle spirit, caring heart, and the love she shared so freely with family and friends. While her passing leaves a void that can never be filled, her memory will live on in the hearts of all who loved her.

A funeral service to honor the life of Frances will be held on Thursday, June 4, 2026, beginning at 1:00pm, at Neal Funeral Home, located at 2409 Center Street, Catlettsburg, with Pastor Pete Miller officiating. Visitation for friends and family will take place prior to the service on Thursday from 11am to 1pm. Following the service, Frances will be laid to rest at Golden Oaks Memorial Gardens.
