Elijsha Akeem Davis, age 34, of Bastrop, Texas, passed away unexpectedly in Moravia, IA. He was born in Lexington, KY to Quintin and Cyndi (Fields) Davis on June 12, 1991.

He attended Unionville Christian School, and graduated in 2006.

He worked as a construction supervisor, making storage builI n his free time, he loved to go camping with his family and the youth from church.

Elijsha was a happy person with a big smile and a bigger laugh. He loved to share his faith in Jesus, meeting new people and teaching new friends about his hobby with aquariums. His house was full of fish in aquariums and he also had fish ponds outside.

Eddie first met his beloved Texas, as a volunteer helping clean up from wildfire damage in Bastrop, Texas. After helping there, Elijah called home and said he felt God calling him to move to the Grace Mennonite Church in Bastrop, TX, where he has been a member for the last 12+ years.

He loved to cook and barbecue for his family and friends. And would always help with the dishes afterwards. God richly blessed him with many special family and friends.

Elijsha is survived by his parents, Quintin and Cyndi Davis of Iowa, grandma Mary Jane Fields of FL, his siblings, Cynda Davis FL, Nathaniel Davis PA, Josiah (Louisa) Davis MO, Kezia Davis FL, Keturah Davis FL, Jalon (Joanne) Davis KY, Malah (Josh) Siliezar IA, Japheth Davis KY, as well as six nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Ernest Davis, and Arletha Davis and maternal grandpa Floyd Fields.

He will be greatly missed by friends and family. Thanks to all who donated to the funeral fund and thank you for all the prayers and support.
