Ping Shew Wong Obituary
Ping Shew Wong 94 of Clifton passed away on Monday, May 4, 2026. Born in Din Pak, China, she came to the US in 1955 and has resided in Clifton for the past 67 years. Ping was a familiar and welcoming face to many in Clifton, as co-owner of the House of Lam for decades alongside her late husband, Robert “Bob” Wong.
A devoted matriarch, Ping found her greatest joy in her ever-growing family, especially during the large gatherings that brought her children and grandchildren together. She is survived by five children, Frances, Joan and husband, Stanley, Margaret and husband, James, Robert Jr. and wife, Patricia, and David and wife, Marilou, by 11 grandchildren, Raymond, Patrick, Gary, Kimberly, Sean, Brian, Robert III, Steven, Katherine, Kristen and Samantha, by 16 great grandchildren, and by beloved dog, Wendy. In addition to her late husband, Bob who died in 2006, she is predeceased by nine siblings.
Funeral services will be held 10:30 AM May 12th at Allwood Funeral Home, 660 Allwood Road, Clifton followed by burial at Mount Hebron Cemetery. Visiting hours are Monday 4-8PM. Memorial donations to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation Association will be appreciated.
