Wilma Rae Flaherty Stewart 87, of Wellsburg, Wv passed away at Wellsburg Health Care, Wellsburg, WV surrounded by her loving family. Wilma was born December 16, 1938, in Wellsburg, Wv to the late Charles and Wilma Wood Flaherty. Wilma worked for Shuey’s cleaners for over 30yrs and was an active member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church where she served as a Eucharistic Minister, president of the Altar and Rosary where she took care of the funeral luncheons and the soup and sandwiches.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth “Sam” Stewart who passed away April 14, 2022, and a niece Sondra DiNardo.

Wilma is survived by her sisters Joyce Wallace of Wellsburg, Mary Lee Smail of Follansbee, WV, Patricia Waters of Wellsburg, WV, and Debra Rea and Larry of Follansbee, WV, nieces and nephews, Kimberly McManus, Leslie Farmer, Jeffery Smail, Mike Waters, Michael Rea, Derek Caldwell, and Casey Corcoran, great nieces and nephews, Anthony Taylor, Joslyn Farmer, Zachary Waters, Mackenzie Waters, Joey DiNardo, Nick DiNardo, Dameon Rea, Joey Rea, Eli Corcoran and Enzo Corcoran, and Great Great niece and Nephew, Reliegh Jo DiNardo and Jaxon Waters also survive.

Friends and Family will be received at St. John the Evangelist Church Wellsburg, WV for a Funeral Liturgy with Mass of April 13, 2026, at 11am with Father Justin Golna offiating.

Inurnment will be held at a later date.
