Sandy Filizetti, age 66, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, in San Jose, California after a long battle with Cancer.

She was born in 1959 to Adolph and Geraldine Filizetti, and was the granddaughter of Lawrence and Edith Berti of San Jose. She attended Santa Clara High School and worked in the Tech industry as an Executive Secretary. During that time, she met Bill Boales, a Controller for Daisy Systems in 1983 and they have been married for 39 years.

Sandy has two children and 3 grandchildren, ages 5 and under. Her children and grandchildren have always been her greatest source of pride and joy. She loved bringing the family together to celebrate around an Italian meal where there was always enough food for double those in attendance. She loved cooking, gardening, playing with her two dogs, Nala and Cannoli, and helping to care for her grandchildren.

Sandy was kind, caring, compassionate and always willing to help others. Her faith in the Catholic Church was unwavering and guided her approach to life. As an example, she was hugely dedicated to the plight of the homeless and participated in programs to support this cause. She also taught catechism for young children in the Parrish.

She will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her.

A Service will be held on March 4, 2026 beginning at 9:30 a.m. at Saint John Vianney Catholic Church at 4600 Hyland Ave. San Jose, CA 95127.

Family and friends are invited to attend this Rosary and Mass in celebration of Sandy’s life and legacy. She will be interred at the Santa Clara Mission Cemetery in a future private service for the immediate family only.
