Patricia J. Glatz Obituary

Patricia Josephine Glatz (88), fondly known as Patty to her friends and Non-na to her loved ones, was born on June 10, 1937, in Sewickley, Pennsylvania. She lived a life marked by kindness, generosity, and faith until her peaceful passing on January 6, 2026, at Wexford Hospital, Wexford, Pennsylvania.

She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, daughter, friend, and cherished member of her community. Her family was always at the center of her world, and she gave her love freely and selflessly.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Joseph Glatz (Pappy); her daughters, Cathy (Scott) Gressley, of Saint Joseph, Michigan, and Patty Jo Glatz, of Aliquippa, Pennsylvania; her grandchildren, Lauren (Matthew) Cornillie, of Ada, Michigan, and Kristen Gressley of Saint Joseph, Michigan. Her sister, Karin (Will) Weber, Minneola, Florida; and many nieces and nephews. To them, she was a source of comfort, guidance, and unconditional love. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lena and Henry Coradi, and her sister, Lorraine Current.

Patricia found joy in lifes simple pleasures. She loved watching her soap operasaffectionately called her storiesand everyone (especially her granddaughters) knew that when her story was on, Non-na was not to be disturbed. She enjoyed watching Pappy tend to his garden, helping in Patty Jos classroom and spending time with her grandchildren, especially during visits to Michigan, which brought her so much happiness.

Throughout her life, Patty's interests were deeply intertwined with her commitment to service. She was an avid Bingo player, but it was her role in running the Bingo nights at Our Lady of Fatima Church that truly captured her heart. Patty's attention to detail and her infectious enthusiasm made these events much more than mere games; they were gatherings that fostered community spirit and brought people together in fellowship and fun.

To describe Patty as gentle is to acknowledge the tender way she approached both people and the world around her. She possessed a remarkable ability to listen, to empathize, and to offer comfort without ever seeking anything in return. Her presence was a source of calm in the bustling world, a reminder of the power of quiet compassion.

We celebrate the enduring impact she has had on the hearts of everyone who knew her. Patty's legacy is one of unwavering love, profound kindness, and selfless devotion to others. Her memory will continue to inspire us, guiding us toward the better angels of our nature. She will be deeply missed, but the light she brought into this world will illuminate the path for future generations.

A private Christian service for the immediate family will be held at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Hopewell Township, on Monday, January 12, 2026.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the American Heart Association or St. Jude Children's Hospital.
