Eugene George Loncrini Obituary

Eugene George Loncrini, (“Gino”) of Longmeadow, Massachusetts, passed away on January 4, 2026, at age 86, at the Jewish Community Nursing Home, surrounded by his loving family. Eugene dedicated his career to public service, working as a custodian at the Hampden County Court and as a painter for the City of Springfield. He had a deep appreciation for music, a love for Italian cuisine, and a passion for all sports. Above all, he cherished the moments spent with family and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, John P. Loncrini and Imelda C. Tremble, as well as his brother, Philip Loncrini, and his sister, Geraldine Tougias. He is survived by his son, Scott Loncrini and his significant other, Melissa, of Hampden, MA; his grandchildren, Brianna and Scott; great grandchildren, Brody and Juliana and his sisters, Barbara Fitzgerald of Wilbraham, Linda Pepper and her husband, Edward, of Southwick, and Peggy Margesson of Grand Rapids, MI. He also leaves many loving nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, January 21st, from 10:00AM to 11:00 AM, with a funeral service to follow at 11:00 AM at Byron Keenan Funeral Home & Cremation Tribute Center, located at 1858 Allen Street, Springfield, Massachusetts. Burial will be in the future. Memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
