Charlene Hudson Riggs Obituary
Charlene Hudson Riggs, 89, of Tuscumbia, passed away on Saturday, January 10, 2026. A reception for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, January 14, from 12:30 – 2:00 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. The funeral service will immediately follow in the funeral home chapel with Casey Hagle officiating. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Tuscumbia.
Charlene was a member of Redemption Shoals. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Lee Riggs; parents, Grady and Oma Hudson; stepmother, Corine Hudson; brothers, Harold, Don, and Kenneth Hudson; stepsister, and Merilla Haydock.
Charlene is survived by her daughters, Michelle Cantrell (Jason), Marsha Cantrell (Jerome), and MaLea Milstead (Tommy); grandchildren, Jonathan Cantrell (Katie), Jessica Cantrell Kennedy, Justin Cantrell (Presley), Lauren Cantrell Sherrill (Nathan), Thomas Milstead (Megan), and Anna Milstead; and great-grandchildren, Katherine and Michael Milstead, Jackson, William, and Josie Cantrell, and Molly Kennedy, Callum, and Collier Cantrell.
Pallbearers will be Jonathan and Justin Cantrell, Thomas Milstead, Nathan Sherrill, Jim Riggs, and Matt Wright.
The family offers special thanks to the staff of Preferred Hospice, Nakeshia Shamar, Marcia Hulsey, and Lana Woods.
