The Lord in His covenant faithfulness called Ida Janna DiVincenzo (nee Nydam) to her eternal home on Saturday, January 10, 2026 in her 89th year. She was the 10th child born to the late Friedrich Ernst and Sipke Nydam (nee DeVries) in Schermerhorn, Netherlands on March 4, 1937. In 1966 Ida came to Canada where she married Paolo DiVincenzo on January 27, 1968 and settled in Hamilton. Predeceased by her beloved husband Paul of 45 years. Loving mother of Mark, Elvira & Joe Bontekoe, Paul & Sue. Cherished grandmother of Miranda (Dave), Alicia (Josh), Ethan (Emily), Sarah (Lucas), Reuben (Marissa), Paige (James), Amelia, Jenna, Chelsea. Blessed with 10 great-grandchildren. Survived by sisters Annie Knibbe, Rennie & Dick Ernsting in Holland.
Family and friends are invited to the visitation at REHOBOTH UNITED REFORMED CHURCH, 77 Glancaster Rd., Ancaster on Thursday, January 15, 2026 from 6 – 9 p.m. where the Funeral Service will be held on Friday, January 16, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. (Livestream will be available for the Service).
