Cecil Perkins, 94 of Wilmington, died at home Saturday January 10, 2026. Cecil was born August 19, 1931 in Richmond County, son of the late James and Etta Perkins.
A devoted father and loving grandfather, he is preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Peggy Perkins and survived by his children, Gail Willis and husband Dana of Burgaw, Cecil Perkins, Jr. and wife Carol of Leland, and Susan Stover and husband Brian of Burgaw. He is also survived by six grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren.
A tile setter by trade for over 40 years, and the owner of Perkins Tile Company, he was well known in the Wilmington area for his outstanding tile work.
Cecil dedicated his life to Jehovah in 1970 and has been a zealous servant since. A member of the Sunset Park Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses for over 50 years, and recently of the Burgaw congregation, he will be remembered for his deep love of Jehovah and his desire to share that love with others. A considerate loving brother and a loyal friend to all - he will be missed.
In honor of his wishes, there are no services planned at this time.
