Lorena “Lo” Faulkiner Mayle, 94, of Howell, Michigan, passed away on November 30, 2025, at her home surrounded by the love and presence of her family. She was born February 21, 1931 in Philippi, WV, the daughter of the late Roy R. and Dorcas Kennedy Faulkiner. She was also preceded in death by her beloved husband, Victor H. Mayle, in 1990.

Lo was a devoted homemaker who took great pride in creating a warm, welcoming home where everyone felt invited and cared for. She found joy in tending her gardens, canning the harvest, and filling her kitchen with the comforting smells of home-cooked meals. Her carrot cake became a treasured family favorite, lovingly prepared and enjoyed by all who were fortunate enough to share a slice.

A woman of deep faith, Lo carried her love for the Lord in her heart and on her lips, often humming or singing her favorite hymns as she moved through her day. She cherished her family above all else and held close the moments spent with them—moments filled with love, laughter, and the simple joy of being together.

Lo is survived by her daughter, Chryrel Barton; granddaughter, Shelley Young (Antonio); grandson, Steven Mayle (Jonie); one brother, Carvel Faulkiner; one sister, Wanda Nelson and one daughter in-law. Debra Mayle.

In addition to her parents and husband, Lo was preceded in death by her son, Larry Mayle (Debra); granddaughter, Rebecca Mayle; sister, Josephine Mayle; and brothers, Robert Faulkiner and Hayward Faulkiner.

A private service was held for Lorena at 1:00PM, Saturday, January 10, 2025 at Bartlett Funeral Home, 202 McGraw Ave., Grafton, WV with Shawn Mayle officiating. Interment followed at the Pritchard Cemetery.
