Age 61, of Windsor, passed away suddenly on Saturday, January 3, 2026 in the Valley Regional Hospital. Born on August 13, 1964, she was the youngest daughter of the late Frederick “Fred” and Joan (Marr) Purdy.

Cathy was a graduate of the Hair Design Centre in Halifax and worked in salons in Windsor, Bedford and Sackville for over 25 years. In the last while she was employed with East Coast Farm Life/High Tide Branding in their store in Windsor.

She is survived by her sister, Claire, Garlands Crossing and many cousins in Nova Scotia and Ontario.  She will be missed by her furry companions, Oliver and Mitzy.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Chuck (2025).

Arrangements for cremation have been entrusted to DeMont Family Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 419 Albert St., Windsor (902-798-8317). As per Cathy’s wishes there will be no visitation or service. A private burial will be held in Maplewood Cemetery at a later date.
