Doris Nell Crider, passed away peacefully on January 8, 2026, at the age of 91. Born on May 26, 1934, in Three Way, Tennessee, Doris's life was a testament to the enduring power of love, family, and faith.

Doris's journey began as the beloved daughter of Doyle Welch and Christine Barger Welch, who instilled in her the values of kindness and devotion that would become the hallmarks of her life. Her heart found its match in Robert "Bobby" Crider, and together they built a life filled with joy and the laughter of children. Although preceded in death by her husband Bobby, her sons Robert "Buddy" and John Crider, and her parents, Doris's legacy is carried on through her loving family.

She is lovingly remembered by her children, Patricia Petty, Barbara Joyce Grubbs, and Michael Crider. Her life was further enriched by the blessings of her seven grandchildren and the delightful echoes of several great-grandchildren, each of whom brought immense joy and pride to her life.

Doris's dedication to her family was mirrored by her commitment to her work. For many years, she skillfully sewed at H.I.S. in McLemoresville, Tennessee, where her meticulous craftsmanship and warm camaraderie were appreciated by all who worked alongside her. Her colleagues not only respected her for her work ethic but also cherished her for the friendship and care she extended to everyone she met.

Graveside services for Doris will take place at 2:00 PM Sunday, January 11, 2026, at Double Springs Cemetery near Milan.
