John Ellis Luttrell Obituary

John Ellis Luttrell, age 85, of Knoxville, passed away on January 8, 2026, at University Medical Center in Knoxville TN.


John was a loving husband, grandfather and friend. He enjoyed cooking and took great pride in caring for his beloved puppies Amora and Chewy. One of his greatest joys was spending time with his grandchildren: Arwen Luttrell, Emilia Luttrell, and Nolan Campbell, creating memories filled with warmth and laughter. Above all, John adored his wife Margaret, with whom he shared 54 wonderful years of marriage. Their love and devotion to one another were the foundation of his life.


He was preceded in death by his parents Aubrey and Nessie Climber Luttrell.


John is survived by his wife Margaret Luttrell of Knoxville, TN; son John Bradley Luttrell and wife Katelyn of Bristol, TN; grandchildren, Arwen Luttrell, Emilia Luttrell, and Nolan Campbell; brother-in-law Richard Moore and wife Rose of Lansing, TN; sisters-in-law Marettia Leopper and husband Louis of Oliver Springs, TN and Debby Branham of Harriman, TN. Also, John is survived by long time best friend Howard Elliott Sr.


Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at 12:30 P.M. at Oak Ridge Memorial Park with Jeremy Weekley officiating.


John will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
