Frances May Stout, 87 of Boones Mill, passed away Thursday, January 8, 2026. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, Robert E.E. Stout.

She was survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Danny McGuire, son and daughter-in-law, Robert E.E. Stout, II and Beth, grandchildren, Daniel (Brad) McGuire, Ashley McGuire, Brandon Stout and Valentine Creel Gray. Frances is also survived by great grandchildren, Casey Haden Wright, Serenity Danielle McGuire, Jaxon Cole McGuire; sister, Nancy Lanier, nephew, Jack Lanier, Jr., niece, Lisa Fink and her husband Matt, great nephew, Nathaniel Fink.

Frances was a school bus driver for over 25 years with the Roanoke County Public School System and retired from Franklin County Public Schools after driving another 4 years.

A graveside service will be held 2:00 PM, Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at Evergreen Burial Park with Rev. Chris Kingery officiating.
