Richard "Rick" Walter White Obituary

Richard (Rick) W. White was born on March 17, 1953, and passed away peacefully on January 8, 2026.

He is survived by his wife and best friend of 53 years, Janice. Rick was a devoted father to his three children, April, Eric, and Jamie, and a proud Poppy to his five grandchildren, Meghan, Amber, Mason, Brooklyn, and Savannah. He is also survived by his sister, Diane (Tim) Prewitt.

Rick spent more than 25 years working as a project manager at IBM and Lexmark. Music was his passion, and he was a talented musician who played in many bands throughout his life. His bandmates became lifelong friends, bonded through their shared love of music. His favorite group was The Beatles, whose songs held a special place in his heart. He also enjoyed fishing, appreciating the quiet and peace it brought him.

Rick was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Ramona White, and his two older brothers, Joe Jr. and Kenny.

Rick leaves behind a wide circle of extended family, neighbors, and friends who will miss him deeply. His love of music, devotion to family, and gentle presence will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

Visitation will be held at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home – Main Street, Lexington, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., with a service immediately following at 12:30 p.m. Pastor Mike James will be officiating. Burial will follow the service at the Lexington Cemetery.
