Ruth Miske, 66, passed away on Thursday, January 8, 2025, at Emplify Health Tri-County Hospital in Whitehall.
Ruth was born to Marvin and Lillian (Larson) Nyseth in Eau Claire, WI. She grew up in Strum, attending Eleva Strum High School and graduating with the class of 1977. She was united in marriage to Eddie Miske on April 15, 1978.
She provided childcare in her home for many years before it became too much. She then worked for a childcare center in Independence. She thought that time was best spent being surrounded by family, attending her grandchildren’s events, and playing with her dogs. She enjoyed tending to her garden and going shopping. She loved to beat anyone she could in a game of Russian Rummy, she would dominate to the point that Eddie would call playing with her “Russian Roulette”. She also absolutely NEVER missed an episode of Days of Our Lives.
Ruth is preceded in death by her parents, Marvin and Lillian Nyseth, her brother LeRoy 'Humpty' Nyseth, her In-Laws Sonny and Nanette Miske, brother-in-law Jeff Miske, sister-in-law Kelly Miske.
Forever carrying Ruth’s memory in their hearts are her husband, Eddie; daughters, LeAnne (Jason) Hugdahl, Jennifer (Cory) Lange, grandchildren, Caitlyn (Trentin) Hugdahl, Corryn (Christian) Hugdahl, Madison (Alex) Hugdahl, Ashton (Hailey) Oliver, Ayva Oliver, Haddie Lange and Bryer Lange. Two great-grandsons, Mason & Noah. Sister Jean (Jim) Erdman and sisters-in-law DeLaine Nyseth and Denise Miske, brother-in-law Michael (Cari) Miske. And many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The funeral service for Ruth will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 16, 2026, at the Osseo Evangelical Lutheran Church. A visitation will be held at the Schiefelbein Funeral Home in Osseo from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 15, 2026.
