Harold A. Lam, 70, of Dover, passed away peacefully at York Hospital at 1:11 a.m. on January 8, 2026.
Born April 9, 1955, in York, Pennsylvania, Harold was the son of the late Harold T. Lam and Lois R. (Snook) Lam.
Harold retired from Harley-Davidson York Vehicle Operations in 2010 after 36 years of service, where he dedicated many years of hard work and commitment. Known for his strong work ethic, Harold took great pride in providing for his family.
Outside of work, Harold was an avid gardener and crafter. He could almost always be found outdoors, tending to the yard or working on a project, finding joy and peace in keeping busy with his hands.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 48 years, Karen E. (Frantz) Lam; two sons, Matthew A. Lam (Lisa) and Andrew D. Lam (Stefanie); his cherished grandchildren, Jasmine, Parker, Wyatt, Madison and Adelaide; one great-grandchild, Asher; and his sister, Deborah Snelbaker.
Harold will be remembered for his quiet dedication to his family, his love of gardening, and the steady presence he provided to those who knew him.
A public viewing will be held on Thursday January 15, 2026 from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM at Etzweiler -Koller Funeral and Cremation Service, 2000 West Market Street, York, PA 17404. Pastor Kelly Shiflett will be officiating. Interment in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens will take place immediately following the service.
