It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved son, father, husband, brother and uncle Linwood Matthew Peacock (“Lenny”), 58 of Raleigh NC, who departed this life on January 8, 2026, at his residence. He was born June 3, 1967, in Raleigh NC to Norwood Peacock and Martha Hartsfield Peacock.

Lenny attended Garner High School. After graduating, he served his country in the U.S. Army as a Cannon Fire Direction Specialist with the 6th Infantry Division Pacific, Fort Wainwright, Alaska where he was awarded various accommodations which included the National Defense Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Army Service Ribbon and the Noncommissioned Officer Professional Development Ribbon.

Upon being discharged from the military, he studied at the Cleveland Institute of Electronics and became a Certified Network Cable Installer. Lenny was employed with Cox Communications for 15 years as a Cable Installer in Shreveport LA and Raleigh NC until his health declined.

He was preceded in death by his father, Norwood Peacock, brother Norwood Peacock, his 1st wife Sandy Peacock and his son Antonio Williams.

His greatest joy was his family and friends, whom he shared a lifetime of love and cherished memories, getting together to watch football, to play Dominos or a hand of Spades. Lenny touched the heart of so many people and left a mark on this world that won’t be forgotten and will be missed in the lives and hearts of those he touched.

Left to cherish his memory are his mother, Martha Thomas; his sister Tanya P. Williams (Norman); and two half-siblings Jarvis and Lamont Peacock; a host of uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
