It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Dimitrios (Jim) Marinakos on January 8, 2026 at Michael Garron Hospital.
He is survived by his beloved mother (Maria Marinakos), father (George Marinakos), sister (Gina Marinakos - Theodoridis), brother in-law (Dan Theodoridis), Niece (Sophia Theodoridis), Nephew (Ted Theodoridis).
Dimitrios (Jim) was born in Toronto, Canada on November 4, 1979 and grew up with his Mother, Father and Sister. He was genuinely kind, loyal, selfless, loving and funny person. Dimitrios spent many years as a butcher, this was a role he loved, he was hardworking where he focused most of his time and commitment at work.
Dimitrios (Jim) sacrificed and devoted his life to his family and friends and we all wished for once in his life he was selfish for himself and no one else.
He was a sports fanatic and enjoyed watching football, hockey, soccer and wrestling. He loved vacating with his family and friends and spending as much time with them as possible.
Dimitrios (Jim) was a devoted uncle/godfather to Sophia and Ted Theodoridis who he baptized. He spent most of his time enjoying them and treating them like his own. He will be truly missed.
Dimitrios (Jim) will be sorely missed by his family and everyone who knew and loved him.
May his memory be eternal šļø
