Douglas N. Bausher, 76, of Centre Twp., passed away on Thursday, January 8, 2026 in Penn State Health St. Joseph Medical Center. He was the husband of Diane F. (Werley) Rentschler Bausher. They were married on April 22, 2012 and celebrated thirteen years of marriage.

Born in Centre Twp., he was the son of the late Walter Jaye and Marie Violet (Hartman) Bausher. Doug was a 1967 graduate of Schuylkill Valley High School and was the first person from Schuylkill Valley to participate in the work program. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Vietnam War. Doug worked as an engineer, first for Gilbert Associates, then AT &T Bell Labs, Siemans, and last for Beulah and Hewitt. He was a member of Salem (Belleman's) Church, Centre Twp. Doug was also a life member of the Leesport Fire Company; and a member of Strausstown Rod and Gun Club. He was a zoning officer of Leesport for many years, ran with the Schuylkill Valley Ambulance and a member of the Winchester Gun Shooting Team. He was an avid Eagles fan and a life-long Penn State fan. He enjoyed watching sports on TV and was a movie buff. Doug especially enjoyed spending time with his daughter Amy and her boys.

Surviving in addition to his wife is his daughter: Amy E. (Bausher Hensley, wife of Jason Hensley, Drums, PA; and six grandchildren: Tyler A. Knarr,

Logan J. Knarr, Jayden Hensley, Lexi Hensley, Jacob Hensley, and Grace Hensley. Doug is also survived by his siblings: Richard Bausher, husband of Rita; Cindy Krill, wife of Harvey; and Louise Keim, wife of Bill.

Services will be held on Monday at 12:00 noon at Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., Leesport. Burial will follow in Zion's Cemetery, Perry Twp. A viewing will be held in the funeral home Monday 10:30 to 12:00 noon. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the Lebanon VA Medical Center, 1700 S.
