Antonio Tomas, 89, of East Providence, passed away on Thursday, January 8, 2026. He was the husband of Amelia B. (Andrade) Tomas to whom he was married for 66 years.

Born in Praia Do Norte, Faial, Azores, he was the son of the late Joao and Eduina (Medeiros) Tomas.

Mr. Tomas was a machine operator for American Insulated Wire for many years. Following his retirement, he and his wife would vacation every year in Faial. He was also an avid Benfica fan.

Besides his wife he leaves one son, Jorge Tomas and his wife Elsa of Wrentham, MA, two grandchildren, Lindsay Tomas and Cameron Tomas and one brother, Jose Tomas.

His funeral will be held on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at 9:00 AM from the PERRY-MCSTAY FUNERAL HOME, 2555 Pawtucket Avenue, East Providence with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in Saint Francis Xavier Church, 81 N. Carpenter Street, East Providence. Burial will be held in Gate of Heaven. Calling hours Monday, 5-7.
