Calvin Colquitt was born June 12, 1932, in Farmington, Georgia. He was the first-born grandson of Clifford and Victoria Colquitt. Calvin was educated at Salem A.M.E. Church in Farmington.
Calvin’s primary career was as a drywall hanger. He helped build houses in Chicago, Mobile, Central Florida, South Carolina and Georgia.
Calvin was preceded in death by his father, Chester Colquitt, mother, Irene Moses, and his younger brother, Lamar Amey.
Calvin is survived by his daughters, Barbara Gooden of Temple, Texas, Jacqueline Harper (James) of El Paso, Texas, and Gwen Stinchcomb (Rickie) of Atlanta, Georgia; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, cousins, other relatives and friends.
