Marilyn C. Lichter, 88, of Burlington, passed away Thursday, January 8, 2026, at Pine Brook Pointe.
Born in Burlington, Wisconsin on September 17, 1937, she was the daughter of Victor and Eleanor (nee Lois) Kerkman. She was united in marriage to John Lichter on October 19, 1963. He preceded her in death on March 27, 1999. She was a lifelong member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church. She enjoyed decorating her home, cutting her lawn on her John Deere and traveling with her daughter Barb.
Marilyn is survived by her daughter, Barbara (Lisa Villarreal) Lichter; sister, Ruth Ketterhagen; brother, Keith Kerkman; and sister-in-law, Julie Kerkman. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; siblings, Arlene (Ed) Siehoff, Rosie (Jack) Essman, Evelyn (Ozzie) Breiling and Vic Kerkman; brother-in-law, Bruce Ketterhagen; and sister-in-law, Cherie Kerkman.
The family would like to thank the staff of Pine Brook Pointe and Heartland Hospice, especially Rochelle, Brittany and Brit.
Visitation will take place at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, 6301 344th Ave., New Munster, Wisconsin, Thursday, January 15, 2026, from 10:00 AM until the time of Mass at 12:00 PM. Interment to follow in St. Alphonsus Cemetery.
