Vonnie Ree Gaddie, 82, of Shepherdsville, KY, returned to the Lord on Thursday, January 8, 2026 at the Franciscan Healthcare Center.  Vonnie was born on February 8, 1943 in Bullitt County, KY to the late Roscoe and Marie Brumley Proctor.  She was a retired school teacher and a lifelong member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Hubert "Buddy" Gaddie and a son-in-law, Brian Lewis.  Vonnie is survived by three daughters, Marsha Elliott (Joe), Julie Motsch (Richard), and Susan Lewis; one sister, Wanda Ritz (Bob); two brothers, Marvin (Eula) and Omer (Betty) Proctor; six grandchildren, Hayden Elliott (Meaghan), Bryce Elliott, Justin Foster, Jordan Foster, Caleb Lewis (Sara), and Brianna Kimbler (Nick); along with ten great grandchildren, Theo Elliott, Josie Elliott (on the way), Jacob, Braxton, James, Dayton, and Charlotte Foster, Ellie and Alice Lewis, and Bridgett Kimbler.  Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, January 14, 2026 at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, Shepherdsville, KY with burial to follow in Highland Memory Gardens, Mt. Washington.  Friends may visit on Tuesday from 2 to 8 p.m. at McFarland-Troutman-Proffitt Funeral Home and after 9 a.m. Wednesday at the church.  Memorial gifts are suggested to her church.   A video of the service will be posted Wednesday following the services.
