Jack L. Pearl Obituary

Jack L. Pearl, 88, St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Thursday, January 8, 2026.

He was born March 23, 1937 in St. Joseph to Tinsley and Mary (Glenn) Pearl.

Jack served his country in the U.S. Army in Security Service.

Jack married Janice M. Osburn on May 25, 1958. She preceded him in death in 1999. He later married Carolyn A. Shanks on November 19, 2001. She survives of the home.

Jack and his father owned and operated Pearl Body Shop which later changed to Pearl Automotive. Then he later retired from Altec Industries.

He attended First Lutheran Church and served on the Community dinners every month.

Jack enjoyed camping and going on cruises. He also enjoyed going to auctions.

He was preceded in death by his parents and first wife, Janice; daughter, Sharon Stocking; sisters, Margaret Underwood and Thelma Summers.

Survivors include his wife, Carolyn; daughter, Debbie Gladden (Sam); Step sons, Greg Shanks (Linda), Jeff Shanks (Brenda); grandchildren, Justin Gladden (Tash) Jason Gladden, William Shanks (Mel), Krystle Shanks (Jason), Boston Black, Noah Shanks, and Mia Shanks; great-grandchildren Logan, Jagger, and Hallie Gladden, Autumn and Ashland Hogue, Marley and Wyatt Shanks; brothers, David Pearl (Marsha) and Kenneth Pearl.

Farewell Services and Public Livestream 1:00 P.M. Monday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. Interment Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will gather with friends one hour prior to the service. Online guest book and obituary at www.meierhoffer.com.
