Patsy Ruth Ankney, age 84, of El Reno, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on January 8, 2026. She was born on June 13, 1941, to Wayne and Virginia Fees.
Patsy graduated from Calumet High School. Throughout her life, she was a dedicated entrepreneur and business owner, known for her strong work ethic and warm presence in the community. She owned and operated Ankney’s Beauty Salon, Kiddyland in Legion Park, and later co-owned In His Hands.
A devoted follower of Christ, Patsy was an active and faithful member of the Emmaus Community. Her faith guided her life and shaped the way she loved and served others—with kindness, generosity, and compassion.
Patsy married the love of her life, Glen Ankney, and together they raised three children: Tim, Tamala, and Tonya.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Wayne and Virginia, her husband, Glen Ankney; her brother, Don Fees; and Bob Lawless, a cherished companion later in her life.
Patsy is survived by her children: Tim Ankney and wife Bonita of Yukon, Oklahoma; Tam Shrum and husband Danny of El Reno, Oklahoma; and Tonya Ashley and husband Jimmy of El Reno, Oklahoma; eleven grandchildren; and fourteen great-grandchildren, all of whom will continue to carry her legacy of love, faith, and perseverance.
