Mr. Randolph Peter Karpinski of Westbrookville, NY, died Thursday, January 8, 2026. He was 92.
He was born July 25, 1933, in Yonkers, NY, the son of the late Joseph Karpinski and the late Mary Wanko Karpinski.
Randy proudly served his country in the United States Army as a paratrooper with the 11th Airborne Division during the Korean War. Following his military service, he worked for many years in the insurance industry with Allstate Insurance, first in Harrison, NY, then in Rochester, NY, and later on Long Island, NY.
Randy was married to his beloved wife, MaryAnn Karpinski, for 48 years until her passing in 2004. He later met and married his wife, Luise, blending their families and gaining two additional sons.
A devoted and active member of his community, Randy enjoyed spending time with the Deerpark Seniors, Mt. Hope Seniors, and the Sparrowbush Senior Club. He especially loved card games with friends and was an avid Scrabble player. Known for his quick wit, Randy delighted in telling jokes and making others laugh. He had a well-known love of cookies and anything sweet. A man of strong faith, Randy served as a lector at Holy Name of Jesus Church in Otisville. He was also a faithful journal keeper.
Surviving are: his beloved wife, Luise Karpinski; his 3 sons, Joseph Karpinski, Robert Karpinski and his wife Betsy, and Michael Karpinski; his 2 stepsons, Scott Fatiuk and Jim Fatiuk; Four grandchildren, Elizabeth, Julia, Patrick and Jason; Great grandchildren, Dean, Theo, James and Isadora. He was predeceased by his first wife, MaryAnn, and his grandson, Benjamin.
Family and friends are invited to visit at the Gray-Parker Funeral Home, Inc., 100 E. Main St., Port Jervis, NY 12771 on Wednesday, January 14, 2026 from 4:00pm – 6:00pm. A funeral service will follow at 6:00pm at the funeral home with Rev. Michael Palazzo officiating.
