It is with heavy hearts that the family of the late Susan Salome Kippenhuck announces her peaceful passing at Curtis Memorial Hospital on January 8, 2026, at the age of 63 years. Susan was well known for her kindness and compassion. She didn’t seek recognition, but you always felt her influence. Her home was always open, and her advice freely given. She was admired for her quiet strength.
In the end, she taught about grace, resilience, and what it meant to show up for the people you love. Her absence will be deeply felt, but her presence continues in the stories we share, the habits we keep, and the quiet ways we care for each other. That’s the legacy she leaves with us.
Leaving to mourn her loving husband of 44 years, Harvey; her beloved daughter Clarissa (Wayne); and her beloved son Damian (Cecilia). Her precious grandchildren, Brandon (Shawna), Julie, Hannah, Thomas, and Isaac; and great-granddaughter Harper. Mother Julia; brothers Denley (Darlene), Bill (Vivian), Glenn; and sister Maryhannah (Edward), as well as a large number of nieces and nephews, family, and friends who will miss her dearly.
Predeceased by father Gordon Sr.; brothers Bert and Gordon Jr.; sisters Pricilla, Naomi, and Judy; and great-grandson Liam.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Curtis Memorial Hospital for your exceptional care during recent visits, especially over the past few days. Joanne Bridle, Public Health Nurse, for the multiple house calls, and the staff at Port Hope Simpson Clinic for your dedicated care and compassion. Susan will forever be deeply missed by her family and friends.
