With deep love and gratitude for a life well lived, we announce the passing of Garth Warren Scott, born on March 2, 1960, and passed peacefully at home surrounded by his family on January 8, 2026.
Garth was a devoted husband to Cathy for 43 years and a proud father to his daughter Natasha, son Draper (Marie). He was a very proud and loving grandfather to Colten, Titan, Dyson, Aaliyah and Luca, all brought immense joy.
He is survived by mother Phyllis, sisters Wanda Veinot (Peter), Marie Farris, including his brother-in-law, Jimmy Farris. Many nephews, a niece and great-niece and great-nephews, all of whom held a special place in his heart. He was predeceased by his father Warren and niece, Adrianne.
He will be remembered for his kind and caring nature which was truly enjoyed by all who knew him. He found happiness in the simple things - golfing, working on cars, and maintaining his home. He also enjoyed leisurely walks in the junk yard with Colten, enjoying a selection of snacks with Titan, watching Dyson battle punching bags in Taekwondo and Aaliyah prance across the stage in ballet. Luca enjoyed helping find tools while grandad worked on cars.
He shared a special bond with his close friends Paul, Kevin, Gill and Darren, his golfing buddy.
Garth dedicated many years of hard work to his career spending 28 years at Maple Leaf Poultry and 17 years with Apple Valley.
Garth leaves behind a legacy of love, quiet strength, and generosity that will continue to live on through his family and all those lives he touched.
