Mrs. Helen P. White, age 76, of New Castle, Delaware, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 9, 2026 at ChristianaCare Wilmington Hospital, Wilmington Delaware.

Born in Wilmington, Delaware, she was a daughter of Velma Bayard and Radford White, Jr.; one of fourteen children. She attended P.S. DuPont High School, and later attended Harris Career Institute.

She was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church in Wilmington, Delaware where she was active in ministries.

Prior to retirement, she was employed as a claims adjuster with CIGNA Insurance and had previously been employed as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Daybreak Nursing home.

Helen enjoyed baking and cooking for her family especially for summertime barbeques. She often enjoyed visiting and enjoying the social atmosphere of Delaware Park and Casino. Most of all, she was focused on her family.

In addition to her late parents, she was preceded in death by her two sisters, Clara Wells and Delores White.

Helen is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Curtiss R. White; her three children, Radford D. White, Lynette M. White and Tonya White; seven grandchildren, Tiffany , Curtiss, Courtini, Ivy, Ta’Shonna, Jasmine, Justin; her nine great grandchildren, Curissa , Curtiss Jr. Josiah, Khalil, Jeremiah, Nolan, Kalayah, Darryl, Saraiah; her nine sisters, Sheila, Annette, Vanessa, Loretta, Pam, Kim, Casey, Sieda, Yvonne and a host of nieces, nephews and close family friends and neighbors.

Arrangements have been entrusted into the care of Williams Funeral Home and Burial Services.

Family, friends and neighbors are welcome to a viewing at 10:00 am on Tuesday, January 20, 2026 at the Shiloh Baptist Church, located at 215 West 23rd Street, Wilmington, Delaware 19802. A funeral service will promptly begin at 11:00 am. Interment will follow in procession from the church to Gracelawn Memorial Park, located at 2220 DuPont Parkway, New Castle, Delaware, 19720 where committal and a Peace Dove ceremony will be held.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Helen Graham Cancer Center and Research Institute.
