Darrin Chioni

Roanoke- Darrin S. Chioni, 57, of Roanoke, passed away January 9, 2026 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, IL.

He was born on February 7, 1968, in Peoria, IL to Edward P. and Donna Waldschmidt Chioni. He married Kristi Koch on August 7, 1999, in Roanoke, IL.

Surviving is his wife, Kristi Chioni; one son, Mason (Abigeal) Chioni; two daughters, Kaylin (Caleb) Schumm; Loghan Chioni; his mother, Donna Chioni; two brothers, Michael (Tina Price) Chioni; Rodney (Paula) Chioni; and his two grandchildren, Sophia and Milo.

He was preceded in death by his father, Edward Chioni.

Darrin loved to work with his hands. He owned and operated DC Construction from 2002-2020. He then took on the role of head custodian at Roanoke-Benson High School in Roanoke.

He enjoyed being in the outdoors hunting and fishing. Darrin loved cheering on his favorite sports teams and was an avid Bears, Yankees, and Notre Dame Fighting Irish fan. He enjoyed collecting all things Pabst Blue Ribbon and everyone knows his truck always looked like it just came off the showroom floor.

Visitation will be held from 4-7 pm on Tuesday January 13, 2026, at Knapp-Johnson-Harris Funeral Home in Roanoke. A rosary service will be held at 7pm immediately following the visitation. Cremation rites will then be accorded, and private family burial of ashes will be at a later date.
