Terrance David Williams, 66, of Vernon passed away peacefully on January 8, 2026, surrounded by his family and beloved cat Tom after a courageous 4-month battle with pancreatic cancer.
Born in Warren, Ohio on March 18, 1959, Terry was the eldest son of Floyd and Carol (Harcarik) Williams.
Terry was a 1977 graduate of Lakeview High School in Cortland and studied at Owens Community College.
After high school, Terry was employed for 3 years at Thorofare Markets before starting his 30- year career at the Ohio Department of Transportation, retiring in May 2012. After almost 3 years of retirement, Terry re-entered the workforce at Ace Hardware in Kinsman (where he worked for over 2 years) and then worked at Penn Arms of Combined Systems in Jamestown, PA, retiring after 9 years.
An avid woodworker and handyman, Terry built furniture, installed plumbing and electrical systems and did home improvements for many local people, including his extremely grateful sister. Terry was preceded in death by his parents, but is survived by his wife, Cathy Towner Williams, who he married in November 1979, daughter, Erin (Matthew) Hunt of Middlefield, grandchildren Benjamin and Wyatt Hunt, brother Bill (Carol) Williams of Hudson, Florida and sister Jill Williams of Warren.
