Jacqueline Y. Wertz, age 88, of Conewago Township, Dover, died at 4:45 AM Thursday, January 8, 2026, at Wellspan York Hospital. She was the wife of the late James E. Wertz, Sr., who died August 30, 2025.

Born September 6, 1937, in Conewago Township, a daughter of the late Walter and Margaret (Hughes) Beck, she was a member of York Seventh-day Adventist Church.

Mrs. Wertz is survived by two sons, James E. Wertz, II, and his wife Leigh, of Dover, and Timothy S. Wertz, and his wife Yvette, of Dover; four daughters, Karen K. Ciapanna, and her husband Frank, of Coral Springs, Florida, Margaret E. “Betsy” Christie, and her husband Rick, of Carlisle, Malinda A. Holt, and her husband Howard, Jr., of Arora, Colorado, and Kathy L. Paduhovich, of York; sixteen grandchildren, and thirty-four great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a son, Craig R. Wertz; a son-in-law, Nick Paduhovich; and her siblings, John Hughes, Phyllis Strausbaugh, George Beck, Betty Sowers, William Beck, Walter Beck, Robert Beck, Sarah Shimmel, and Bonnie Myers.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 AM Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at York Seventh-day Adventist Church, 2220 Roosevelt Avenue, York, with Pastor Randy Nims officiating, Viewings will be from 6:00-8:00 PM Monday at William E. Little Funeral Homes, Inc., 2150 Carlisle Road, York, and 9:00-10:00 AM Tuesday at the church. Burial will be in Suburban Memorial Gardens.
