Jacquelyn "Jackie" (Gray) Stoudenmire Obituary

Jacquelyn “Jackie” Gray Stoudenmire, age 67, of Gainesville, GA, passed away peacefully on January 8, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

Born on March 16, 1958, in Alexandria, LA, Jackie lived a life rooted in faith, hard work, and service to others. A devoted Catholic, she found strength and comfort in her faith and lived it daily through kindness, humility, and compassion.

She was a loving wife to James “Jay” Stoudenmire III, with whom she shared 48 years of marriage, building a life centered on family, perseverance, and love. As a mother and grandmother, she was endlessly devoted, always placing her family’s needs before her own. Her grandchildren were her greatest joy, and she treasured every moment spent with them.

Jackie was known for her tireless work ethic and strong sense of responsibility. She worked incredibly hard throughout her life, never shying away from sacrifice, and she carried that same dedication into caring for those around her. She would be there for anyone in need—offering help, comfort, or simply a listening ear—without ever expecting anything in return.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Jay Stoudenmire; her children James (Melissa) Stoudenmire IV, Jeremy (Ashley) Stoudenmire, Jordan (Todd) Conrad, and Julie (Zachary) Saylor; her grandchildren, Madison, Parker, Avery, Hayden, Alden, James, Aria, Rosalind, Aaron, Ari; and sisters Jamie Gray and Julie (Billy) Lugar. She was preceded in death by her parents Glyn and Yvonne Gray.

A visitation will be held at Little-Davenport Funeral Home on January 20, 2026, from 5-7 PM. A Mass will be celebrated on January 21, 2026, at 10:30 AM at Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Alta Vista Cemetery.

Jackie will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered for her unwavering faith, strength, generosity, and the countless lives she touched.
