His Legacy… William Charles Kittle, “Popeye”, age 82, passed away January 8, 2026. He was born on May 27, 1943, in Oneida, Tennessee to Charles Kittle and Mary (McCartt) Kittle. William married the love of his life, Carolyn Hester, on January 12, 1996, in Las Vegas, Nevada. William will be fondly remembered for his kind heart and devotion to his family. He had a special affection for animals, a passion for NASCAR racing and Detroit sports, and took great pride in keeping his yard meticulously maintained.
His Family… William will be missed by his wife, Carolyn Kittle; his children, William Charles Kittle Jr., Darin Michael Kittle, Brian (Michelle) Kittle, Sharlene (Kirt) Driehorst, Tracy Stricklan; sister, Charlene (Vern) Troyer; grandchildren, Brian Jr., Ryan, Javan, Tristan, Sarah; great grandchildren, Asher, Raelynn, Grayson, Everly; and dear friends, Paul (Bonnie) Burton. He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Mary Kittle; brother, James Kittle.
His Farewell… William’s family and friends will gather 4:00-8:00 pm, Thursday, January 15, 2026 at Borek Jennings Funeral Home, Howell Memorial Chapel in Howell, Michigan. His Community Farewell will be held at 11:00 AM (10:00 Gathering) on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at Borek Jennings Funeral Home, Howell, Michigan. Pastor Jim Riley will serve as celebrant.
