Charlanne Fenty Dubay, 75 of New Hartford CT, passed away peacefully at home January 3, 2026. Charlanne was born on September 16, 1950 in Winsted CT, the daughter of Harold and Beverly Morton Fenty.

She attended local schools and graduated from The Gilbert School Class of 1968 and Briarwood College Class of 1970. Charlanne began her long career in the banking industry working for several different companies before she found her home at Bank of America. She worked 56 plus years working her way up the corporate ladder. Charl enjoyed her job and working with her team brought her much joy.

Charlanne was a kind and generous person who loved her family and friends. She had many lifelong friendships that stood the test of time. She made time for her friends, including weekly pizza night with her oldest and dearest friends. Charlanne became close to her cousin Judy and had many laughs together. Charlanne loved dogs and cats, adopting many over the years and giving them a good home. She was an avid reader and enjoyed giving suggestions to friends and strangers alike. Her favorite vacation spot was St. Maarten. Charlanne enjoyed playing games, particularly cribbage and contract rummy. She could be quite competitive and always kept score.

Charlanne leaves behind her brother Brad Fenty (Diane), sister Susan Fenty (Steve), aunt and uncle Janet and Edward Follert, niece Sara Del Mastro (Joe), niece Jennifer Thomas (Joe), and nephew Brian Fenty (Gia), three great nieces, three great nephews, and many cousins.

She leaves behind a hole in our hearts but a lifetime of wonderful memories. In lieu of flowers please donate to the charity of your choice.
