Antonio (Anthony) Gallegos, 78 passed away on January 3rd, 2026 in his home in Garden City, Kansas.
Anthony was born on March 10th, 1947 to Epifanio and Emma Gallegos in Pueblo, Colorado but was a long time resident of Garden City, Kansas. He was the youngest of seven children.
Anthony moved to Garden City in 1968 to work in the beef packing industry, where he remained for 45 years until his retirement in July of 2014. When he took vacations that time was spent traveling back to Colorado to visit family. Anthony enjoyed fishing and hunting.
Anthony is survived by his wife of 57 years, Caroline Gallegos. Children Phillip Gallegos and Roberta (Craig) Stutzman. Grandchildren Mackinzie ( Zach) Huber, Jace Woodyard, Tyler Stutzman and Emily Solis. Great Grandchild Zaryn Huber. Sister Rita ( Carlos) Machin, as well as many cousins and Nieces and Nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents Epifanio and Emma, Brothers Eloi (Fred), Jose (Eusebio), Epifanio (Eppie), and Richard Gallegos and Sister Emilia (Emily) Richman.
There will be no visitation. A Rosary will be held at St. Francis Church in Pueblo, Colorado on Saturday January 17th at 10:00a.m. A Graveside Burial will follow at Roselawn Cemetary.
