Jovita Barrera, 87, of Los Indios, Texas passed away Saturday, January 3, 2026 in San Benito, Texas.
She was a lifetime resident of Los Indios, Texas.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Rito Barrera, Sr. and Lydia L. Barrera; two siblings, Erasmo Barrera and Rito Barrera, Jr.; two nephews, Rene Barrera and Ricky Barrera.
Left to cherish her memory is her sister, Anita B. ( Placido) Ramirez; numerous nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, January 8, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. Rosary at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, Texas.
A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, January 9,2026 at 2:00 p.m. at Las Rucias Cemetery in Las Rucias, Texas.
Pallbearers will be family members.
