Dwight G Rowe Obituary

Dwight G Rowe Obituary

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Dwight G. (DG) Rowe, who went to join his wife, Yvonne on January 3, 2026. DG was cherished by family and all who knew him. He was a character and filled every room with his robust voice, laughter, and storytelling. DG’s storytelling was iconic. His embellishments added to every story told. He loved connecting with people.

Born on August 22, 1932, in Springwater NY to Wilson and Marian Rowe, DG was one of 18 children. He joined the military at 18 years of age, achieving the rank of SMSGT in the US Air Force. After his military retirement, DG worked for a few years for the city of Blytheville before becoming a project manager for a medical waste management company based in Virginia. He worked another 20 years and saw the world. He was never one to slow down and he got great pleasure from working and helping others.

DG is preceded in death by his parents, thirteen of his siblings, his wife Yvonne Rowe and oldest daughter Deborah Rowe Jackson (Alan Jackson).

He is survived by his daughter Jan Rowe (Charlene Campbell), four of his siblings Marian Gothard (Dan), Irma Shattuck, Herb Rowe, and Jerry Rowe (Susie), his grandsons Robert and Joe Jackson, numerous nieces, nephews, and countless friends.

There will be a memorial service for DG and Yvonne later in the year. Jan would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff and administration of Gosnell Health and Rehab and Elite Hospice. DG and Yvonne were incredibly loved and cared for by the generous, loving people of both facilities. In lieu of flowers please consider donating to one or both.
