Smith, Allan Roy

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Allan Roy Smith at his residence in Elliot Lake on Saturday January 3, 2026 at the age of 89. Beloved husband of Margaret Smith of Elliot Lake. Predeceased by his 3 children, Dane Smith (Desiree) of Los Angeles, U.S.A., Ryan Smith (Sheila) of Burnaby, B.C. and Vawn Robertson (Tom) of Toronto. Loving grandfather of Justin, Erin, Dylan, Elijah, Laila and great grandfather of Lukas, Benjamin, Emma and Ryan. Allan and Margaret were together for 55 years and came to Elliot Lake in 1972. In 1983, they re-located to Iron Bridge where they purchased a farm and built a log home. In 2020, they returned to Elliot Lake. Allan had a great sense of humour and enjoyed spending time in the outdoors, fishing, hunting, camping and particularly enjoyed their time spent at Camp on Mississagi Bay, Lake Huron. He loved dogs and will be sadly missed by his canine companion Wishes. As per his request, cremation has taken place. Memorial contributions to a charity of choice would be appreciated by the family.
