Joshua Patric McCormick Obituary

Joshua Patric McCormick, a man known for his selfless heart, loving nature, and friendly demeanor, has passed away at the age of 28 on January 3, 2026, in Englewood, Ohio. Born on January 15, 1997, in San Francisco, California, to Charlie Leroy McCormick and the late Leslie Johnson, Josh was a beacon of light to his family and everyone who knew him.

Josh is survived by his father and step-mother Charlie & Lisa Ann McCormick of Englewood; wife Veronica McCormick of Dayton; sister Addison McCormick of Englewood; half-brother and half-sister Robert Marcum of Mansfield and Alexis Wilt of Mansfield; numerous extended family and friends.

Josh graduated from Northmont High School in the class of 2015 before earning his certified welder certificate from the Hobart School of Welding.

His professional journey led him to Fastenal, where he was an integral part of the supply chain operations team. Josh's commitment to his work was paralleled only by the joy he brought into the workplace. He formed lasting friendships and left indelible impressions through his warmth and generosity.

A man of faith, Josh was baptized at Victory Church where his belief shaped his actions and interactions. His interests were illustrations of the life he cherished – full of love, laughter, and shared experiences. An avid computer gamer, Josh loved the camaraderie that came with playing games with his close, cherished group of friends. His talent for welding was not just a career but a passion. Josh relished in the simple pleasures of life, like watching a good movie, driving around while listening to his favorite music, and most importantly, spending time with his beloved family.

As we bid farewell to Joshua McCormick, we celebrate a life that, albeit short, was lived with purpose and overflowing love. His legacy will continue to flourish in the memories he created with his family and friends, and the lives he touched with his extraordinary spirit.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, January 18, at Hale-Sarver Family Funeral Home, 284 N. Miami Street, West Milton. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 PM at the funeral home.
