Susan Fuller Obituary

Susan Barney Fuller, 65, of Erie, passed away peacefully Saturday January 3, 2026 following a brief illness. She was born in Erie on September 26,1960 a daughter of Margaret Bertelsen Barney and the late Alexander J. Barney.


Susan completed a nurse's aide program and worked briefly at St. Mary's Asbury Ridge. She was an active member of the Salvation Army where she cooked in the kitchen, was a bell ringer during the Christmas season, and enjoyed participating in the Salvation Army's adult camp.. She loved socializing with her friends at Highpoint Towers, playing bingo, and Nintendo Wii games.


In addition to her father she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Fuller; and her brother, Bruce A. Barney.


Susan is survived by her mother, Margaret Bertelsen Barney; sister Linda Reitz (John), niece Ashley Kindle (Don); nephew Zachary Reitz; great nephew Nathan; aunt Kathleen, aunt Sonia, and cousin Mike; step children Tammy, Robert Jr, John; many grandchildren; her many friends at Highpoint Towers; and her beloved therapy cat, Dee Dee.


A celebration of Sue's life will take place at the Salvation Army at a future date. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. Funeral arrangements were made by the Russell C. Schmidt & Son Funeral Home Inc., 5000 Wattsburg Rd., Erie, 16504.
