**Obituary for Douglas Gerald Asplin**

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Douglas Gerald Asplin, a beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend.

Doug graduated from Perry High School and continued his education at Akron University before going on to own and operate Asplin Coaxial Services in Ann Arbor, MI. Whether he was out on the golf course, fishing by the lake, or hunting with friends, he cherished every moment spent outdoors.

He is survived by his children, Krystal (Sean) Snyder of Cape Coral, FL; Tara (Jason) Boyer of McClure, OH; Nathan Asplin of Canton, OH and Chris (Amanda) Asplin of Swanton, OH. He also leaves behind his wonderful grandchildren: Mariah, Jordan, Ryder, Rowan, Paige, Payton, and Paisley. Doug will be missed dearly by his siblings, Bill, Chuck, Don, Bonnie, and Patricia. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Joyce.

Friends and family are invited to celebrate Doug's life at a graveside service on Friday, January 9, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Beavercreek Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages memorial contributions be gifted to the American Cancer Society.
