SOMERSET - PATRICIA ANN KILCOYNE (née Taylor) passed away on Saturday, January 3, 2026, at her home. She was 81 years old.

Born in Weehawken, to Raymond and Madeline (née Smith) she resided in East Brunswick before settling down in Somerset 30 years ago.

She was predeceased by her husband, Patrick Kilcoyne in 1984; and her daughter-in-law, Liz Kilcoyne in 2018.

She enjoyed a long and accomplished career, working 25 years at Suburban as the Benefits Manager and Executive Assistant, followed by 20 years at NJ Transit, retiring in 2020 as a Project Analyst.

Patricia had a way of making every gathering brighter and every heart feel at home. Known for her clever jokes and lively spirit, she brought joy and laughter to everyone she met. She loved knitting, playing cards, traveling, the Yankees and the Giants and, most of all, being surrounded by her family. Fiercely independent and deeply proud of the life she built, Patricia was a true matriarch and role model, showing her family the value of strength, humor, and devotion.

Patricia is survived by her sister, Virginia Kilcoyne of Bogota; her children, Michael Kilcoyne and his wife, Patricia of East Brunswick, Kelly Kilcoyne of Red Bank, and Sean Kilcoyne of Somerset, and her stepchildren, Colleen Watters, Patricia Kilcoyne, Kevin Kilcoyne, Brian Kilcoyne and his wife, Michelle, Linda Suk and husband, Bill; and all of the grandchildren she adored. She was always their number one fan, cheering them on with love, encouragement, and boundless pride.

Patricia’s wit and unconditional love will be deeply missed and forever cherished.

Family and friends may visit on Thursday, January 15, 2026, from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm, at The BRUNSWICK MEMORIAL HOME, 454 Cranbury Road, East Brunswick, NJ.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, January 16, 2026, at 10:00 am, at St. Bartholomew Roman Catholic Church, East Brunswick, NJ. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick, NJ. For directions, please view our “Events” listed below.
