Life Reflections
Yvonne Faye Smith was born August 8, 1962, to the late Minnie Lee and John H. Thomas Sr. She graduated in 1980 from Aiken High School. She was an exceptional typist, and began working at Western Southern Life Insurance before graduation from high school. Later, she worked at Ohio Barge and River Company and UPS at the same time. She finally retired from DHL.
Yvonne was a survivor, beating both cancer and kidney disease. She was a member of Bibleway Church of God in Christ. Tragically, she was taken from us in a car accident on January 3, 2026. She was a loving and caring mother, sister, aunt, comedian, and friend—someone who brought joy to everyone around her.
Yvonne leaves to mourn her loss her wonderful daughter Tiara N. Smith, whom she loved and cherished with all of her heart. Her brother John (Nakkia) Thomas, her sister Denise (Ralph) Thomas Smith, nieces, nephews, godchildren, and a host of family and friends.
