Dallas Damron, 71, Goshen, died at 5:05 p.m. on Saturday, January 3, 2026, at Elkhart General Hospital. He was born June 21, 1954, in Pikeville, Kentucky, to Billie Ray & Jerldeane (Bartley) Damron. On October 4, 1975, he married Penny (Ratliff) Damron and she died May 7, 2024.
Surviving are a daughter, Melissa Marie (Carlos) Chavarria, Goshen, son, Dallas Ray (Brittany) Damron II, Middlebury, grandchildren, Daniel Sandoval, Luis Sandoval, Dallas Michael Damron III, Kynlee Damron, Jovani Chavarria & Malia Chavarria and siblings, Billy Ray (Carmen) Damron & Clifford Thomas (Delight) Damron, both of Ohio.
Preceding him in death are his parents, wife, Penny, sisters, Beulah Compton & Patricia Lugo and a brother, Billie Damron.
Dallas worked in the RV manufacturing industry throughout his career. He served as a Group Leader with the Floors division at Forest River, Inc., and most recently worked in Slide Outs at Keystone RV Company.
He was a true outdoorsman who found his greatest joy in fishing, hunting, and camping. He was an avid enthusiast of four-wheelers and side-by-sides (SXS), though his passion for speed started years ago on the track, where he spent his younger days racing at the New Paris Speedway.
Visitation will be 1-3 p.m. Saturday, January 10, 2026, with the funeral service following at 3 p.m., all at Rieth Rohrer Ehret Funeral Home, 311 S. Main St., Goshen. Burial at Oakridge Cemetery will be at a later date.
