James "Jim" Walker Obituary

James (Jim) Robert Walker

Born February 11, 1947, Jim passed peacefully at home January 3, 2026.

Loving Husband to Eva Walker. Proud Father to Dawn Walker, Shane Walker (Amber) and Laura Medford (John). Beloved Poppa to Ali (Jordan), Kyla, Shayne, Reese, Ryleigh, Oakley and Great-grandson Ashton. Pre-deceased by Granddaughter Samantha. Cherished Brother of Patricia Mutton (Al) and the late John Walker. He will be fondly missed by his “adopted” children and grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Jim was the proud owner and operator of The Happy Cooker’s Kitchen in New Tecumseth, filling hearts and bellies for over 25 years. He had a fond love of golf, where he was a self proclaimed Pro with 3 hole-in-ones. Jim loved bass fishing at his property in Parry Sound, especially with his son and granddaughters. Some of his most prized catches included himself, where he had caught himself in the thumb on numerous occasions with a three-prong resulting in fun trips to the Parry Sound ER. He was a true and loyal fan to his beloved Maple Leafs, knowing full well he would never see a cup again.

In respecting Jim's wishes, there will be no formal memorial service at this time.

In lieu of flowers, the family is welcoming donation to Matthews House Hospice or The Heart and Stroke Foundation.
