Anthony (Tony) Riposo, 85, entered his eternal home with Jesus on January 3, 2026, reunited with his beloved wife of 57 years, Mildred (Millie) Riposo.
Tony was born on March 21, 1940 to Carmelo and Grazia (D’Arrigo) Riposo in Gray, Pennsylvania. His given birth name was Antonino Agatino Riposo.
He was also preceded in death by his son, David Anthony Riposo.
Tony is survived by his children Kim Tucker (Kevin), Mary Riposo (Andrew), and Paul Riposo (Monica); grandchildren Carmela, Amanda, Evan, Andrew, and Emerson; as well as many extended family members and dear friends.
Tony proudly served in the United States Marine Corps and was awarded a Good Conduct Medal, Rifle Expert and Pistol Marksmanship Badges. He was an active, longtime member of Suffield Fellowship Church. He enjoyed sharing his faith in God and he and Millie hosted many home Bible studies over the years, meeting with friends to share God’s Word, insights and reflections on their shared faith in Christ.
Tony worked in sales most of his life and had an entrepreneurial spirit that led him to start several small businesses. He always enjoyed being with people and supporting their spiritual and professional growth. Above all, Tony cherished time spent with his family, delighting in family gatherings, shared meals, meaningful conversations, and took great pride in his children and grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 12:00pm on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at Schermesser Eberhardt Funeral Home, 600 E. Turkeyfoot Lake Rd. Akron, Ohio 44319, with Pastor Jim Shuman officiating. Family and friends may visit on Monday, January 12th, 6:00-8:00PM and prior to the service on Tuesday, January 13th from 11:00am-12:00pm.
Tony will be laid to rest with Millie at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman. Memorial contributions can be made to Southern Care Hospice, 9501 US Highway 250 N. Suite 2, Milan, Ohio 44846.
