Susan "Leigh" Hall Obituary

Susan “Leigh” Hall, 75, passed away in her home on January 3, 2026. Born on July 18, 1950, in Mineola, New York, Leigh spent her childhood on Long Island. Her family then moved to the islands of Hawaii, where Leigh’s stepfather worked for Pan Am, allowing her to travel extensively.

Hawaii was the place she called home for over two decades. She earned a bachelor’s degree in communication from the University of Hawaii, and went on to obtain master’s degrees in education and psychology. Eventually, Leigh settled in the Capital Region of New York, where she dedicated over 25 years as a guidance counselor with the Schenectady City School District, where she enjoyed her time working with students. She was a devout Catholic and attended several local churches over the years.

Leigh is survived by her son David N. Hall and daughter Mary (David) Pistritto. She is predeceased by her parents, William and Margaret Prudden, and her sister, Majorie Ann Evison.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the Immaculate Conception Church on Saturday, January 10th at 9 AM. Memorial donations may be made to Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Albany. Online condolences at glenvillefuneralhome.com
